Our Planet Good Earth Garden, showcased at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024, won a Bronze Medal and was celebrated by the world's horticultural media, receiving national TV coverage.

This innovative garden combined skateboarding and community gardening to support mental health and promote environmental action. It focused on creating outdoor learning experiences and demonstrated how skateboarding and horticulture can contribute to green initiatives and healthier urban landscapes.

In collaboration with Betongpark & City Mill Skate, a University College London Public Art Project, this dynamic feature provided a playful and engaging space that empowered young people to care for each other and their environment. It demonstrated how growing and recreation can work together to positively impact youth communities.

The garden featured edible planting arranged in a forest garden layout, creating an immersive, productive, and wildlife-friendly environment. It served as an educational haven, allowing users to acquire new skills, harvest produce, and immerse themselves in nature, fostering a sense of ownership, belonging, and environmental responsibility.

This was a highlight of mine at RHS Chelsea, an excellent concept!

This is a huge coup for Hereford; we are excited that a corner of RHS Chelsea is finding a permanent home at Hereford Skatepark
— Stronger Hereford.

Our garden.

The Planet Good Earth Garden has been relocated to Hereford, where it combines nature, horticulture, and skateboarding to offer immersive learning experiences and environmental education, enriching the lives of young people. It will serve as a recreational area alongside community workshops and horticultural sessions through partnerships with local organisations, fostering creativity, skill-building, and social connections.

Its legacy.

In collaboration with Planet Good Earth & Betongpark, Urban Organic will host a talk about The Planet Good Earth Garden at the London Festival of Architecture in June 2024 and again at The Garden Museum in October 2024.

The panel will discuss how skateboarding and horticulture can contribute to green initiatives and healthier landscapes and how this integrated approach to growing and recreation can work together to positively impact communities nationwide.

We aim to inspire public realm planners to think more carefully about how the two can intersect and contribute to a healthier, more vibrant environment for the community.

This beautiful edible garden was amazing. You can not only dance and skate on it, but you can eat it
