Urban Organic designed and built the rooftop kitchen garden for The Culpeper pub to provide produce for their kitchen and a space for their customers to enjoy. With a continuous 20 metre long waist-high raised bed and 30 boxes on wheels, we designed a garden which was both functional and flexible as an events space.
Our team of growers works alongside the chefs to provide fresh ingredients for their seasonal menu. During the growing seasons there we’ve harvested a variety of tomatoes, beans, chillies, aubergines, chards and salads. The bar staff use herbs grown on the roof—including mint and lemon verbena—to prepare cocktail tinctures.
